This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My scope of influence on my students is limited only to six short hours a day and five days a week. While I try my best to make every moment count, my students face many hardships.

My students are my inspiration.

My school is categorized in a "highest poverty" school district. Nearly all students qualify for the free lunch program, and many students live in a single-parent family. Despite facing these challenges, my students are hard-working and motivated to learn. They amaze me every day.

My Project

In a world where technology is at our fingertips, my students only have limited access to an outdated computer lab. So much of my students' lives outside of school revolves around the use of technology that it has become an integral part of their everyday lives.

The key to student success is to provide students with engaging lessons.

Because my students are so immersed with technology in their own lives, incorporating technology into the classroom will help motivate students to want to learn. My students will use their new Chromebooks to conduct research, type essays, create presentations, and to submit assignments via Google Classroom.
