Help me give my students access to Chromebooks to prepare them for the demands of an increasingly technological world.

My Students
I teach 5th grade in a rural community in Oklahoma. A majority of my students are from low-income houses. They have limited access to computers both at home and at school. In the classroom, I want to encourage my students to use these Chromebooks to write, research, develop math and coding skills, and allow me to differentiate instruction. With a majority of standardized testing now taking place on the computer, I want to make sure my students are completely comfortable with their own computer skills.
My goal is to eventually have one Chromebook for every two students to allow time to pursue creative ideas, work on math at their pace, explore the world of industry, and even make connections with students near and far away.
Currently, I have only 3 Chromebooks for a class of 25 students. This does not allow enough access throughout the day for each student to properly develop the computer skills necessary for today's learning environment.
My Project
My classroom is an engaging environment where I work hard to make learning relevant and interesting. I have been to countless Science and Math professional development opportunities and I am passionate about teaching my students. But, today's students need to learn skills that I had never dreamed of during my own education experience. Not only do they need basic computer skills, they need to learn how to code, problem solve, and research while finding dependable and correct sources. Students need to learn how to communicate and collaborate with others as they work.
The biggest gap in my classroom has come from a lack of access to current technology for my students.
Having such a large class makes this gap even wider. I strive to prepare my students for the ever-changing needs of our world, but this is become more and more difficult without a strong foundation in technology. Whether students plan to attend college or go directly into manufacturing and trade jobs, a strong grasp of technology is a requirement.
