Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title I school in a low socioeconomic area, and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. For some of our kids, these are the only two meals they have in a day.

Although some of my kids face many challenges, they are always eager to learn.

We have some military families in our school as well. Our school is located in a border city, and a few of my students moved here from Mexico and are English language learners. I'm always looking for innovative ways to teach my kids and encourage them to love school and learning.

My Project

My students need 6 Samsung Chromebooks to explore with at Learning Center time especially during Science. Our students will use the chromebooks to explore their ability through research! The chromebooks will be used during Learning Center times throughout the day as we read and write while learning together. They will be able to use this during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they make words, numbers, and sets as we explore counting skills. Your generous donation to our project will improve our 3rd grade classroom by building a stronger reader and writer. This will change our students' lives for the better. They will love school and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning!

Students will be able to also use these 7 chromebooks for their science project research. They will each present and learn about their environment in the process.
