My Students
I teach a spirited bunch of sprightly sprats who are inquisitively energetic learners, and many are not native speakers of English.
My students are inquisitive, energetic, eclectic, global learners.
Pre-existing lower income and socio-economic demographics are considerably aggravated by language and cultural barriers. Nevertheless, on their first day returning to school, students were eager to learn and divest themselves of previous woes. This funding opportunity will help supply some resources and bolster equitable access to education that connects them to a global community of learners free from linguistic barriers.
As a dedicated, technology-oriented educator, I merely seek resources to support students in such a direction to diverse the learning process and opportunities.
My Project
Students need to have access to technological resources such as Google Classroom, ClassDojo, Vocabulary.com, Quizlet, Read 180, Learning.com, Classcraft, IXL, and many others.
However, while many resources are available in cloud-based platforms, many students still lack the hardware to appropriately and adequately gain access to the wide variety of digital learning technologies.
Not only will Chromebooks enhance accessibility, but also allow students to continue growing their own digital perspectives by exploring the web-based platforms that can enhance and engage their own unique learning needs.
