Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am part of a low-income/underprivileged school and neighborhood. Every student in my school receives free breakfast and lunch. My students have a variety of backgrounds, and despite these challenges each day they come to eager to learn. It is my job to make sure they can be successful not only in the classroom but as a citizen of our country. My students love to move, use technology, and use hands-on manipulatives in their learning. Any donation would be making sure this goal is reached and I sincerely thank you for your time!
My Project
My school has very little technology! We have one computer lab which is shared by seven different grade levels and I have four computers in my room. However I was just informed that one computer will now be removed so I will be left to share three computers with 30 students! This makes using technology almost impossible for my 5th graders, but that is something they need to succeed in future careers!
With these Chromebooks they will be learning how to use a tool many of them don't have access too.
They will be able to advance their learning by creating posters, group projects, and typing out essay's. These Chromebooks will allow the students the ability to run with their ideas and do things they never thought possible! However, more importantly they will allow the students to be prepared for careers in technology, which will last them a lifetime!
