My Students
My students have been learning from home for the last seven weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic. I have been posting assignments on Google Classroom daily and meeting via Zoom weekly. Not all students have the same access to materials at home. As a school we have tried to provide computers, school supplies and curriculum for this who do not have access.
My Project
We need 30 Chromebooks for my students. My students have been at home learning since March 13. So many of them do not have the resources to complete our classroom assignments. My students need Chromebooks to continue learning at home.
We use a lot of programs online to practice math skills, reading comprehension and to connect with each other via Zoom.
Having Chromebooks for my entire class will allow them to continue learning and growing.
These Chromebooks would give equal access to all my kids. I have found that to access all the websites we use fully, a Chromebook is the best device. Tablets and phones, which is what most kids use at home, do not allow students to see the whole screen like Chromebooks do.
