Help me give my students the tools to be able to grow! Students will use these items daily in the classroom ensuring they are ready and prepared for college and beyond!
My students are from the south side of Chicago. They live in a neighborhood that is plagued with violence. They face adversity almost on a daily basis, especially in school struggling with reading. These students are very resilient! They take the challenges that come their way with stride, striving to be better daily!
Over the past year, scholars have really taken their learning to the next level.
These students have taken responsibility for their learning and their effort is paying off!
My Project
This year we hope to increase technology usage in the classroom. These new devices will help students with in class assignments such as writing assignments, turning in final projects, and sending/receiving emails. New chromebooks will also allow for formal cumputer lessons within the classroom. Students will be expected to have the knowledge to be able to perform tasks throughout high school and college using computers and online services.
Students are looking forward to this new addition to our curriculum and eager to learn new skills to help them succeed!
We anticipate that with new technology students will gain the skills necessary to compete in the age of technology.
