My Students

Our school is an urban public school with a diverse population. This is why this school is so special. The teachers and staff are very committed to all of the students. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% of our students receiving free lunch.

I am a Special Education Teacher working with students with Specific Learning Disabilities from Kindergarten to 3rd grade.

Most of my students learn best with visual aids. My project will provide my students with the technology that they really need! Technology can make abstract and difficult concepts welcoming and make learning more effective and lasting.

In the last few months, we have had a lot of students entering our school from Puerto Rico, where they had to escape the devastating Hurricane Maria. My students from Puerto Rico are learning English in my classroom!

My Project

My students need Chromebooks and cases so they can be successful in my class. Currently, I have no technology in my class! Please help me change this! I have a bunch of new students who came from Puerto Rico the last few months. These students escaped Hurricane Maria and these Chromebooks will really help them to get acclimated to our school. These students are awesome students and they are always willing to learn and try their best in class. Your donations will really make a difference in the lives of these students that had their lives changed because of Hurricane Maria.
