My Students
I have 150 students in the 9th and 11th grades. The school that I work at in Chicago Public Schools has some absolutely brilliant students. Unfortunately, the way the school system is run in Chicago is not equitable for all students. Our students deserve much more than they are getting.
Our school has been incredibly successful in preparing students for college and their career, despite the obstacles put in place by the system.

The high school that I work at is located on the South Side of Chicago in a stable neighborhood. It is a neighborhood public school that many parents want their students to attend because it is well organized and run well.
My Project
These Chromebook laptops will allow students in my class to have 1-1 student to laptop usage ability everyday in my class. This technology will allow students to investigate, research, and write papers using my Google Classroom and Google Docs. It will also allow me to use far less paper in the classroom and work to create a fully integrated digital classroom as often as possible.
My students deserve the ability to use technology daily.
Your generosity will make that happen. Our school and students are amazing, but at times the access to technology can be a challenge. Your generosity would not only help my students, but it would also make it easier for the other teachers to access the computer lab in our building, because my class would no longer need it.
