Our students are studying World History in 10th grade. They live in Brea, CA, in Orange County, California and are curious about the world.
They love technology and are learning how to be skeptical consumers of information.
They get most of their information from history through technology. Most of our students go on to attend colleges and university and our goal is to give them the skills to succeed at those institutions. Many of them return to live in Brea post-college.
My Project
My students need these Chromebooks in our classroom; we are a Google school and students need this technology to access materials.
We use technology to bridge the gap between students and history.
Many of our students are familiar with technology but do not know how to effectively use it in the classroom or a professional setting. These 2 Chromebooks would be used as a Chromebook Lab in our classroom to help students access history curriculum and complete their assignments without having to rely on their own personal devices.
It will help all students access the material and learn better. We endeavor to make students digital citizens who can effectively communicate electronically and discern reliable sources on the internet so they can succeed in college, in life and beyond.
