My Students
My students have overcome so many obstacles to be successful in the classroom. Autism spectrum disorder can make the most simple of tasks feel huge. My students are so smart and love learning and most days they teach me more than I teach them.
Our school is a school that helps students with autism spectrum disorder learn to be successful in a classroom environment and how to connect with the world around them.
Students with ASD often excel in areas such as STEM and STEAM so I like to provide ample opportunities for them to explore as many different projects as possible.
My Project
This Chromebook cart will put each student in charge of caring for their own Chromebook. They will need to take care to make sure their Chromebook is plugged in at the end of each day so that it is ready for them each morning. This will help each student to learn responsibility, ownership, and care over classroom items. For students on the autism spectrum, learning to care for their items as well as classroom items is a big part of our learning each day. It teaches them responsibility and accountability.
