“If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it.” ― Toni Morrison. My students have a lot of creativity and I'd love to be able to transfer their amazing ideas into written word. To facilitate this, I am in need of a Chromebook.
I teach Fourth grade on the Northwest Side of Chicago.
My students come from many different countries, cultures and walks of life. My students are very eager writers. They are writing, writing, writing all the time. They want to share their stories with the world.
My Project
This Chromebook will be used for writing workshops. The writing workshops will teach the students the process of writing, including drafting essays, editing their own work and sharing their writing with other classmates. As the students learn how to write, they will become more confident in their ability to write and thus will write more.
The additional Chromebook will enable me to have less students sharing technology and will make writing assignments run more smoothly.
Students will be able to work independently on writing projects as well.
Students will also you the Chromebook to conduct research in Science and Social Studies.
