My students need a Chromebook so more students are able to access the iready program for 45 minutes a week to help improve math scores. Magnets help me locate my students on a hallway chart.

My Students
I have 20 wonderful students in my classroom. They come from families who do not have a lot of money, so they need all the support they can get in terms of obtaining resources that they have access to support their learning.
My school is a ready common core math school.
This program has a online component for students to go on and practice math skills that they individually need. My students love working with this program. I would like to foster this internal engagement.
My Project
My school participates in a math curriculum that includes a online program that includes interactive math lessons designed to support students at their level. These lessons may be reteaching previous skills taught this year or even from previous years that the students have not yet mastered or lessons for skills not yet taught for enrichment. Research shows that if students work on the online program for at least 45 minutes a week, they will make more growth in math because they are getting the instruction at their individual level and are offered the opportunity to go back and review skills not learned.
Students in my class do not necessarily have access to a computer at home, so having a chromebook will make it logistically possible for all my students to receive 45 minutes every week at school.
The chromebook case will be used to keep the chromebook protected from getting broken and dust.
In my class, I assign every student a number for labeling things where there is no room for whole names. I have a chart that is used for students who leave my room. The chart identifies the places the students would go like the bathroom, library, nurse, or office. The number pattern glass magnets would be used for this chart. The numbers would represent the students' numbers. If they leave my room to go to one of the above identified places, they would move their numbered magnet to that location on the chart. This helps me keep track of where students are when multiple students leave the room at the same time, especially during emergencies. I will know exactly where students are if they are not in my room.
