My Students
Our middle school has approximately 800 students. We are a diverse community school in a large school district. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds but all have a willingness to learn. Many of our teachers are innovators in their fields and are trying to accommodate the needs of all of our students.
My students are energetic and love to learn.
They are curious about the world around them. I would love to make my classroom more engaging, bring history and geography to life, and help to meet the needs of more of my students.
My Project
In my U.S. History class, we often tackle topics of the United States' and the world's finances. Throughout the year we learn about topics such as recession, depression, inflation, taxation, speculators, stock market, and many more. One of my students' favorite activities is to look at the U.S. Debt clock and learn how our country is in debt and how to fix it. In order to examine this complex topic, students need to be able to access the internet and the website using Chromebooks.
A Chromebook is essential for many of the lessons throughout the year that involve learning about our country's financial affairs.
These newer, more durable Chromebooks will help my students stay connected and learn about our great country!
