Benjamin Franklin said, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." The scholars in Room 12 are involved! They are involved in research. They are involved in collaboration. They are involved in creating. Engagement is at an all-time high!My students are amazing third graders that have a so much talent and creativity.
They have passion for learning and it shows in everything that they do.
Passionate for learning, these students enter the door eager to take on the demanding academic tasks of the day.
With new state standards, our students are being asked to think differently, process differently, and produce work differently. Yet with all this change, they are motivated. They are constantly asking challenging questions and working diligently to find the answers. This year's group of scholars is particularly interested in hands on learning and being provided with technology and having multiple opportunities~
My Project
Chromebooks will allow my students to accomplish so many exciting, creative tasks in all subject areas! We can begin by enhancing our keyboarding skills while composing our own stories inside our Classroom. Friendly letters, paragraph writing, and research will easily be incorporated into our daily lessons as well.
Through the use of Chromebooks, creative writing and editing instantly come alive!
Writing and rewriting will no longer be a daunting task, but accomplished with the stroke of a key. Emphasizing critical thinking while constructing math word problems, strengthening reading comprehension, and reinforcing complete sentence structure can all be accomplished with online, teacher communication. I can not think of a more positive way to encourage my struggling students at school every day!
