This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school every day excited to learn! My school is a Title I school with 92.9% of students coming from low-income families. There is a high percentage of Latinos at my school. I teach students who are learning English as a second language.
My students may come from low-income homes, but they are motivated to do well in school, and they enjoy learning!
I teach 3rd-4th grade Special Education. My students have various disabilities including intellectual disabilities, autism, emotional disturbance, ADHD, other health impairment, visual impairment, and learning disabilities.
My Project
My students need 4 Chromebooks to allow them to work on Math, Science, and Reading programs. Having 4 Chromebooks, will allow my students to be on educational programs, while I'm working with other students in a small group.
My school has limited resources when it comes to technology, so having 4 Chromebooks set aside for my students will help immensely!
My students love being on the computer and learning on the computer. Almost all of my students come from low-income households, where they don't have access to computers. Sometimes being at school is the only time they can access technology like a computer.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
