This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic and talented high school students. Our high school focuses on career and college readiness, and my students work very hard and are dedicated to their academics. Our school is not the home district for the majority of my students. They choose to be here and because of that, they value the time they spend at this school. These kids are very motivated and have an excellent work ethic.
My students love to explore physics concepts that affect their everyday life.
My Project
This Pandemic has caused great stress on students with virtual and hybrid learning. Not knowing what the school year holds, we do know they will be facing many challenges this year. Whether they choose face to face instruction, synchronous or asynchronous learning, we are all going to be learning together!
Technology and science go together like peanut butter and jelly.
You can't have one without the other! Access to reliable chrome books within our science classroom will allow my high school students to access the wide array of scientific knowledge available during research and hands-on projects. Students will also use Chromebooks to demonstrate their knowledge by being able to access our online curriculum and create presentations and documents that correlate with their Physic assignments.
Lastly, various computer simulations will be used to help bring the concepts of physics to life! Having access to reliable technology within the classroom, will help ensure my students are better prepared for life beyond high school.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
