My students are amazing! They are so serious and so creative when they seek out information for their projects. We are a fourth grade class, so most of my students are nine and ten years old. Our school is an inquiry-based IB school in a vibrant urban neighborhood.
Right now, with 32 students, we have only four computers in the classroom and it limits the students.
Laptops don't last forever and despite the best of care, several older ChromeBooks in our classroom "died" last year. I would love to have at least eight classroom ChromeBooks so that I can infuse my students' days with color and variation! I don't want them to stop their inquiry just because they lack a resource that has not been provided to them.
My Project
My students are responsible and are able to use computers for research, composing documents, keeping notes, and collaborating with other students in real time. We would love to have at least eight ChromeBook laptops in our classroom so that class time is maximized and students have the resources they need. This project starts us off with one new ChromeBook!
My students need this ChromeBook to bring our classroom total to five.
We use ChromeBooks to communicate with each other, to edit our documents, to produce informative and narrative writings, to have fun with learning!
