My Project
Thank you for visiting our first-grade class!
As we develop new reading skills, a listening center would really help these diverse readers access books and content together.
At this age, students are working hard on sounding out words. In centers, I'd like to develop a listening library, where they can work on reading comprehension skills and build background knowledge and vocabulary through listening to books.
This center and audio books will allow students to have active conversations about diverse topics and move beyond deciding words to the rich world of reading comprehension!
