My students need books such as The Legend of the Poinsetta, Bambinelli Sunday, and Walk This World at Christmastime to learn about Christmas around the world.

My Students
I work with a wonderful group of students who have significant special needs. Most of my students are nonverbal, which means they do not have functional verbal communication yet. They work at a variety of different learning levels. They learn best through real life experiences and hands-on activities. They have a hard time generalizing concepts which makes it important to provide these real experiences for them.
My students love coming to school to learn, interact, and engage with others-especially when sharing a book!
My students are a fantastic group of students and are still learning life skills, academics, and to communicate with others. Christmas is generally a great time for kids and my students are no different.
My Project
Christmas is such a special time of year for kids all over the world. It is also a special time for my students. I would like to teach my students about other cultures and how people celebrate similar holidays in other countries. This will help give them perspective of other parts of the world and that people celebrate things differently.
My students love Christmas; I would love to teach them how kids all over the world celebrate similar holidays.
I am requesting 9 books that provide a great story and visual representation of how other countries celebrate Christmas or their equivalent holiday.
