My students need Chord Buddies. These guitar adapters make the inital steps of guitar playing extremely rewarding and helps retain students' interest in a difficult medium.
The current atmosphere of my school is trying to rebuild school pride and improve its participation in the community. Often you'll hear a conversation between students or students and teachers about what we need to have in our school. We have built a fountain of ideas ranging from a "Fun Club" to different after-school activities the students want to have.
As part of an under-funded urban district, students often find themselves limited by the lack of support for their interests.
I have seen my students thrive if they are given the opportunities and belief that they can succeed.
My Project
This summer, I met the Shark Tank Chord Buddy inventor, a music teacher who was frustrated by a number of students who quit guitar because of the difficulty of learning to coordinate the left and right hands. He invented this device as a bridging tool for beginners on guitar.
Too many guitar students give up after the first few lessons.
Using the Chord Buddy, students become more comfortable with their instrument. As they progress, they slowly take pieces off the Buddy System until they are independently playing the chords.
This device would help retain the students' interest in becoming better musicians. We are always looking for the easiest way to success. This is an awesome device every guitar teacher should have!
