Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the STEM Lab Teacher for my school, I wanted to create something that will engage ALL students in STEM and connect school and home. I started creating At Home STEM Challenges for all grade levels to complete at home with their friends, family, or by themselves. At the beginning of each month, I would like to introduce a book of the month that will correlate with the STEM Challenge. Connecting the STEM challenges with picture books, will really engage and motivate all students in STEM.

The picture books that I am requesting will be given to one student in each grade level per month.

I was able to start this project for the months of March and April, and we have really engaged all grade levels! Our students are really excited for the monthly challenges, along with the monthly picture books!
