Choir Needs a Piano

Help me give my students what they need to be successful. Large economically disadvantaged population where funds are spent on core subjects. Our fine arts programs lack many basic items to support their well-rounded education.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In a district that has approximately 90% Economically Disadvantaged population, fine arts programs usually struggle to get what they need to help their students be successful. For choir programs, their most basic need includes a good in-tune piano. With funds being funneled towards core subjects mainly, it is difficult to even get regular pianos tuned on an annual basis.

Our choir program is requesting a digital baby grand piano for rehearsal and performances.

This digital piano will not have to be tuned which will save on annual maintenance costs. This digital piano will also help with rehearsals and help lower the cost of contracting a piano player for everyday needs.

We currently have an acoustic baby grand that is more than 40 years old and has not been tuned for many years because of funding shortages. The other pianos in the district are even older and some have never been tuned.

Please help our program with this much needed donation.
