This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach very enthusiastic first graders. They are in a program in which students are taught literacy and content in two languages. First grade is a pivotal year for learning basic reading and my group will be doing it in two languages!
My Project
Returning in person learning was an exciting time, especially after being online for a full school year. However being at home for a full year means having to readapt to seating at a desk and for longer period of times. This is why I believe the portable lap desks will help my first graders have a successful year.
