Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach reading and these Choice Magazines will bring so much knowledge and value to my students in the classroom. These magazines provide valuable information for students in middle school. There is different information on subjects like bullying, nutrition, hazing, friendship, dating.
The lessons that I will teach will be valuable for all my students.
I will use these to create writing lessons using our WICOR AVID strategies. I will provide background knowledge for comprehension of the subject I will be teaching. Then read the magazine and have them answer comprehension questions.
