My students are learners. They love to learn in any situation. We know students these days have a hard time sitting for extended periods of time. I have used flexible seating for 4 years and absolutely love it. Students are able to use the type of chair, or tool that will help them learn.
My Project
My students love being able to choose where they will learn best each week. We have 5 game chairs, 12 desks, a bean bag and a cube for students to sit on. Each week students pick where they want to sit based on what kind of learner they are. Some students pick a desk, but others often pick a game chair, or bean bag. These materials will give my students a new option to help them learn and stay engaged. Students often need to move while learning and these new options will give them a chance to do just that.
