My Students

My school is a Title I school, with over 45% of the population receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Resilience is the word that can better describe the young people in my class.

My students love challenges and take part in every project I offer them, whether to volunteer and help others, tutoring their peers, or being involved in the Italian community in our city.

They work hard, are highly motivated (I step in when they are not) and deserve to have access to the best learning opportunities.

My Project

My main goal has always been to motivate my students and it looks like I have done a good job, because they are always working hard and doing their best. After a year and a half of online learning though, I foresee a drop in their motivation. The 2021-2022 school year will be in person and I want to do my best to push my wonderful students towards success.

Chocolate can be a great motivator for teenagers and particularly when they study Italian.

They will have to work super hard this year and I want to organize little competitions with a sweet reward as a prize!
