Chlorophyll and Chromatics: Life Sciences and Photography
Help me give my students an opportunity to learn life sciences through exploration and investigation. We will be using photographs to document the experiment each step of the way.
This project will include investigation life sciences through investigation and observing organisms in different habitats as well as creating our own habitat models in the classroom. Students will build group communication skills and organization through the use of journals documenting their ideas.
Students will become photojournalists, biologists, and writers through the shared experiences of investigation and exploration.
This project will support a unit that builds on exploration and learning about the biological world around them. They will use cameras to document growth and changes, journals will help them to keep observations, and the consumables will allow them to create their own habitats of plant life.
These shared investigations will create equitable academic experiences leveling the playing field and allowing all students the opportunities for science success.
