This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the counseling office, we love to use games and puzzles to teach a variety of skills such as impulse control, taking turns, patience, and communication. We use these kid friendly games to help engage students in learning SEL skills in counseling. We have a variety of students with all different learning styles and needs. Using visuals and hands on learning tools such as games and puzzles help my students learn these important skills.

Having games and puzzles in counseling would be helpful in teaching my students these skills in a way that is fun and engaging.

We would use these games to practice communicating with peers, taking turns and waiting, how to be a good sport, and provide stress relief. Overall this would help the counseling office meet the needs of ALL students.
