This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my 13th year teaching at my elementary school in California. We are a TK-6th grade Title I school serving low-income students who are learning English as a second language. Our staff members devote themselves every day to providing the best education we can with the resources we are given for these amazing children.

These kids are special to me because they work hard to be the best they can be.

I want to make their learning environment as comfortable and enriching as I possibly can. They are our future!

My Project

Thank you for taking the time to read my project.

Chinese New year is just around the corner, February 1st, and I would love to provide them with a fun and engaging opportunity to learn all about it.

Along with the lessons I already have I am requesting a couple of Read Aloud Chinese New Year books, Chinese New Year money envelopes and coins, fun Chinese New Year glasses to wear, scratch off lucky messages, and lantern decorations to help make this an unforgettable day. I would love to take their picture this day with their glasses and have them make the cute frames to keep and cherish this memory. Learning about other cultures is important to me and would love the opportunity to give this to my students.
