My Students
On a typical day our library will see between 100 to over 200 students ranging from Kinder to 8th grade. It is a challenge to maintain a collection of up to date exciting books for each and every one of them.
Our students are a diverse group in age and ability. Students are K-8 typical learners, students with special needs, as well as gifted students. They are working together as a community to learn and grow as learners as well as compassionate members of a community. It is not about getting ahead, but bringing everyone along.
My Project
These new books will be able to inspire so many students from beginners to the well established readers. They are so hungry to read more, work hard, and learn more. These will help us get there. It is so wonderful to see students reading to each other, or bringing in a friend to show them the latest book they are excited to share.
This project is important because it will directly benefit over 700 students in their daily lives. There is a constant need of updating a library to keep it current and inspiring.
