it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This coming school year I will be welcoming a new group of energetic learners into 1st grade! They come to school ready to learn, laugh, and grow together. They deserve a classroom environment that supports their learning and well-being in every way.
This project is focused on helping them stay hydrated, focused, and comfortable during long school days.
With your support, we’ll bring in an ice maker, a water filter pitcher, and a set of reusable cups—a mini hydration station just for them!
Our school has installed bottle fillers on each of the floors with classrooms. Many students do not bring a water bottle with them each day and will request to get water. This involves taking them to the first floor to access the drinking fountains. This setup allows them to refill quickly, stay healthy, and learn more effectively without having to leave the classroom. Having fresh water nearby also teaches responsibility, sustainability, and self-care—all essential skills for little learners.
With these resources, we’re not just giving them water—we’re giving them the energy and focus to tackle math, reading, writing, and more with confidence. Thank you for helping my students feel valued, refreshed, and ready to learn!
