This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A refrigerator in our classroom would ensure students have access to fresh, healthy food and drinks, which is critical for their focus and well-being during school hours. Many students come from households where access to perishable items like fruits, yogurt, or milk is limited, and a fridge would allow us to store these nutritious options, providing snacks or supplements to school lunches.

Beyond nutrition, a classroom fridge would enable creative and educational opportunities that enrich the learning experience.

We could use it for science experiments, like observing food preservation or exploring temperature’s effect on matter, making abstract concepts tangible and engaging.
