My Students
My third grade students are eager to learn. They are curious, creative, and have great imaginations even though we are a Title I school in a high poverty neighborhood.
Most of my students live in public housing which is why I need your help to help my students thrive over this virtual time due to Covid-19.
Their neighborhoods are rough and school is a place for them to be safe. My class is mostly African American children who face a lot of challenges.
My job, as a teacher, is to help my students overcome these challenges and become the amazing adults I know they can become.
My Project
Thanks to your amazing help this year, we have been building a fantastic multicultural library. As you all know, it takes a lot of books to make sure all cultures are equally represented. This project focuses on helping to close some of those gaps in my multicultural library.
Students needs to see themselves and others in books in order to thrive in school and in the world.
This year I have learned I can not do it without all your help and support. I sincerely hope you will continue to support our class. I love my students so much and want the very best for them.
