Children Are in Transit through Their Imaginations

I am a Kindergarten teacher of 25 students with exceptional imaginations. We will be doing a unit from our Social Studies curriculum on the changes of transportation from the past to the present.
I have arranged a hands-on tour and workshop to the New York Transit Museum. The Transit Museum displays "Moving the Millions: New York City's Subways from Its Origins to the Present" through photographs, diagrams, cartoons, period newspaper clippings, and historical maps. The exhibit tells the fascinating story of the development of the largest transportation network in North America, all capped off with the Museum's vintage collection of subway cars and elevated trains, all lovingly restored to perfection and available for boarding.
Trips can be expensive for those children from low income families. I would like for them to experience the same like all other children. This can happen with your help. Thank you for reading my proposal and for all your assistance.
