Chickens: Homesteading and Husbandry

Help me give my students a new safe chicken coop to learn about homesteading and animal husbandry.

My Project

This project is designed to teach students all about how to raise chickens in a home environment. Through donations we will select breeds, order eggs, hatch chickens, and breed them at school. We will need funds for eggs, incubator, brooder, and chicken coop.

Learning about chickens in school serves several educational and practical purposes:

Agricultural Education: Understanding chickens is a fundamental aspect of agricultural education. It introduces students to the principles of animal husbandry, care, and management, promoting an appreciation for the role of poultry in food production.
