My students need 2 egg candlers: one powerful candler to see inside of dark eggs and one hand held for the lighter colored eggs.
FULLY FUNDED! Dr. Poston's classroom raised $220

I am a third grade teacher. I have 20 students in my class right now. There are twelve girls and eight boys, and they are all eager to learn about life cycles.
My students need to be able to illustrate the stages of a life cycle. I would like for them to actually be able to observe the life cycle which they are illustrating. I have obtained an incubator so that my students can have the chance to see an egg hatch. However, the students would also benefit from seeing the stages the chick goes through as it grows inside of the egg.
If I had the appropriate materials to candle the eggs I am incubating, then the students would have the opportunity to observe the stages the chick goes through on the inside of the egg. Two candlers would be perfect to light up the eggs so that the students could see inside of them. One would be mobile so that I could bring the eggs to groups and individuals for a close observation. Then the other will provide a stronger light for the students to see through the darker shells of brown eggs.
Please help my students find the answer to the age old question... "Which came first: the chicken or the egg?"
