it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My PreK students are caring, loving, and adventurous and very curious about learning. My students are big at heart and ready to share their special joy with the world.
With the help of Donors Choose, their learning experience will expand due to the support and kindness that this donors program provides.
I am interested in expanding my teaching for my students through a new project at school. As I learn I would like to tell other teachers about our experience.
My Project
In Arizona it is legal to own chickens. Chickens eat scraps of food, grasses, weeds, and bugs. They are the most efficient recyclers of food! Having a few chickens in our school gives our students something to own and care for, and a sense of accomplishment that PreK students desperately need. The fertile egg kit allows our Prek students an opportunity to learn about the development of chickens and gain a sense of pride and responsability. It also gives students an opportunity to take home an egg and provide food for their family. Having my own children raise chickens at home, I know how rewarding it is. It is great fun for the whole classroom!
