My Project
My students are very excited about our chick hatching unit, and I’d like to have a more sturdy brooder for our chicks once they hatch.
I have been hatching chickens in the classroom for years, and I have seen how much quality learning the experience brings to children.
I plan to do this for years to come, and it would be amazing to upgrade the current brooder setup to something that demonstrates a higher level of husbandry practices. This chick brooder seems to be both interactive for the kids and comfortable for the chicks. The windows are at the chicks’ level, so they won’t experience the stress of kids standing over them. It’s a great thing that would make the chicken unit better for everyone.
