Chick Hatching Supplies

Help me give my students a new incubator and supplies for hatching chicks.

My Project

Hatching chicks has always been something we have loved doing in first grade. I have been very fortunate that I have friends who supply us with eggs, and my students get to experience the thrill of the hatch and watch the chicks come into the world and grow into little fuzzy babies.

Our incubator has seen better days, we could really use a new setup.

I have had the incubator for more than 10 years. It is a struggle to keep the humidity correct, and it is really starting to hold a smell that is somewhat offensive. This new incubator comes with a candler, which we currently do not have access to. I also have an old heat lamp I am using, which feels pretty dangerous around first graders, and this new one feels a lot safer for small kiddos.

We would really appreciate an opportunity to upgrade our favorite science supplies this year so that we can enjoy one of our beloved activities!
