My Project

My incredible students in special education are on an exciting journey to improve their communication skills, strengthen their receptive and expressive language, and confidently navigate social interactions. As their speech-language pathologist, I'm always looking for innovative ways to support their unique learning styles, and that's where your generosity can make a real difference!

Many of my students thrive with sensory input and movement.

Imagine how challenging it can be to focus on language tasks when your body is craving movement! That's precisely why I'm requesting mini trampolines for my speech therapy sessions. These aren't just for fun; they are vital tools that will allow students to work on their communication goals while getting the tactile support and movement their bodies need. The ability to stand and bounce while engaging in therapeutic activities significantly enhances their ability to attend, process information, and participate effectively.

Beyond movement, several of my students also benefit immensely from chewable sensory supports and squishy seats. These items, though seemingly small, provide crucial sensory input that helps them regulate their bodies, reduce anxiety, and stay focused on their learning. When a student's sensory needs are met, they are much more available for learning and therapy.

Your donation will directly impact my students' ability to succeed by providing them with the sensory tools they need to unlock their full potential. By creating an optimal learning environment where their sensory needs are met, we can empower them to truly focus on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals, leading to remarkable improvements in their communication and overall well-being.
