My Project
This year I am teaching a Native American History elective at my school. I am wanting to do a cultural studies unit where we make Cherokee Baskets. This unit is the favorite by far because students get to create a cultural artifact and understand why basket weaving was such an important development in Native American culture and human civilization.
This kit comes with everything that we need to have a wonderful experience and learn a valuable skill.
Further, because there are so many reeds students can create either a double walled basket or more than one.
