it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Laboratory day is a weekly activity in my classroom, especially in Chemistry. Using our classroom laboratory, students settle in their stations for hands-on activities and a chance to apply what they are learning. However, this opportunity is often lost due to the lack of basic equipment in our classroom.
Students deserve to experience science firsthand, it is very discouraging when at times these experiences are not available due to a lack of basic equipment such as gloves, digital scales, measuring cups, or pipettes.
With these supplies, students will be able to focus on the academic material at hand, and not on whether their materials are going to work and they'll have to settle for watching a simulation on the computer.
