This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a special education chemistry with 8-10 students per class. All the headphones we have are at least 5-10 years.
I have a very diverse learning group of students in my special education chemistry class.
We have students with mild to severe learning disabilities and social emotional disabilities. Everyday we have independent work time for about 10-15 minutes. We have very old head phones which more than half are broken. My student's don't have the resources to buy head phones. It would be great to have new headphones for my students during this work time each day as well as when the student is having a rough day. It would be greatly appreciated if these students had the opportunity to use nice head phones during this class time.
