My students need the Learning about Chemical Reactions Lab Kit, the Energy Changes in a Reaction Lab Kit, and the Learning about Oxidation/Reduction Reactions Lab to learn about the nature of chemical reactions.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a low-income/high poverty school district. I teach a Physical Science class of eleven nine graders. All my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. All my students have specific learning disabilities. Despite the challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. My students will learn better if they are provided with opportunities to do hands-on activities and presenting the curriculum through explorations.
My Project
My students will use The Learning About Chemical Reactions Lab kit, The Learning About Energy Changes in a Reaction Lab, kit, and Learning About Oxidation/Reduction Reactions Lab Kit to conduct experiments that will allow them to observe changes in temperature, color of solutions, production of gas, and precipitates that accompany chemical reactions.
These investigations will help the students to study, explore, and learn the nature, mechanisms, and applications of chemical reactions.
If my students do hands-on activities they will be more engage in the class. Not only will my students be very happy to do hands-on activities but doing these activities will allow them to learn and remember the concepts easier. This project influence the lives of my students by making them to enjoy and learn science.
