Chemical Reaction Materials for Middle School Students

My Project

These are materials needed to implement an OpenSciEd unit on chemical reactions. In this unit, students will do a series of investigations to figure out how a bath bomb works. Through investigating this phenomenon, students will learn about states of matter, particle views of matter, conservation of matter, chemical reactions, pure substances vs. mixtures, balancing chemical equations, and physical and chemical properties. The hands-on experience makes the science much more real, relevant, and fun for students. This project is aligned with Next Generation Science Standards. Thank you for your help!
