Have you ever read a Russian author? They have a distinct way of understanding the world. Yuri Corrigan is a professor of Russian Literature at Boston University. He is also an expert on the works of Anton Chekhov.
I am requesting one copy of Yuri Corrigan's "Chekhov in Context." Anton Chekhov is one of my favorite Russian, or actually Ukranian, writers.
He writes with a power and insight that often startle me.
I am hoping that Corrigan's latest academic book will help me to better understand the tension that Chekhov creates when he places Nihilists and Romantics into conversation. This will in turn allow me to challenge my students in new ways. Thank you.
