My Students
All of my students live in a large city in Michigan and receive free lunch. Many of my students come to me speaking little or no English. Here, at our wonder school there is something for everyone. Even the parents like to engage in our learning opportunities.
My students don't like sitting around, they like to be engaged and to explore new things.
As their teacher, I would like to make available a wide variety of learning materials so they can engage and learn in a variety of ways. We love to document what we see and do.
My Project
My students love the housekeeping area! They have fun letting their imaginations grow. The food items will allow them to create a restaurant together, cook for the babies, and shop for healthy choices using the chef salad and international bread baskets.
Pretending is important for a child's development.
The dramatic play area is one of the area where children learn their likes and dislikes. They will express new ideas with the My Plate pocket chart, munch it play food set, pots and pan set, fresh fruit salad and play-time produce farm fresh vegetables all while learning the importance of healthy eating. Creating healthy habits in our classroom will promote a lifetime of good choices!
