My Project

Chef D Cooks The World is a beautiful call to action exclaiming to children all over the globe that Kids Can Cook.

Using his love for cooking as his backdrop, Chef D goes on a journey exploring different cultures and cuisines.

Children get to learn about diversity and cultures all while being exposed to yummy dishes from several countries. This book is phenomenal for young readers as it sparks an interest for travel, and instills the habit of cooking fresh meals.

The additional book: Life Skills for Kids: How to Cook, Clean, Make Friends, Handle Emergencies, Make Good Decisions, and Everything in Between will add additional ideas to help my class with their learning.

Our school is located in the inner city with underprivileged families striving for a better life. Single parents, grandparents, and older siblings continue to do their very best to instill a better way of living for their families, they face many challenges, but that doesn't impede on my students desire to learn and dream big. The homes that are filled with books and material to read will most likely produce not only readers but enthusiatic readers and encourage literacy within the entire house.
