Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine if you had the opportunity to kickstart the writing career of Roald Dahl, Stephen King, Judy Blume, or Rick Riordan! I would be amazed (but not surprised) if I walked into my local bookstore and saw a previous student's name on a book in the Popular Release section. A lot of writers start their journey in secondary school. Whether these children be future authors, poets, screenwriters, journalists, or even songwriters, this club can be their launching point.
These tools and materials will make it so that kids can develop their creative writing skills, and prepare for careers as future authors/poets/screenwriters/etc.!
The kids in Future Authors club will take part in short story, news article, and poetry competitions. They'll take a try at National Novel Writing Month in November. They'll learn various creative writing skills, from plot design to editing. You can be a part of the beginning of their journey from middle school kiddo to bestselling author!
